OFF PISTE SKITOURING – Silvretta spectacular
Experience our 5 days hut to hut adventure!
Ski touring in the Silvretta is perfect for the intermediate tourer. The alps themselves consist of seventy 3,000 meter peaks along the austrian, swiss border. Its height meaning it is most suitable for March/April when conditions are warmer. The Silvretta area is in the heart of glacier country – just one of the many reasons to go with a guide. The huts are surprisingly luxurious, with hearty food, beer and wine and hot showers to soothe those tired muscles. .
The Piste to powder tours start and end in St Anton, with 2 days warming up, honing your touring skills, checking out equipment, and completing an avalanche safety course. Then we are ready for the off and the next 4 days are spent touring, hut to hut, chasing the powder, and enjoying the spectacular views in this magical glacier terrain. And as evening falls we sit with friends, old and new, relaying stories far away from the maddening crowds. And when it’s all over, you will only be able to wonder – why did I wait so long to see this place?
This tour is aimed at level 2-3 skiers who are of good fitness and already familiar with touring. All safety equipment is provided and you will have a chance to try black crow touring skis – which are included FREE for the week. Any questions, just give us a call.
