Improve your off-piste technique and build confidence in the mountains. Your guide can help you develop your skiing, share valuable mountain knowledge and introduce you to avalanche safety and rescue techniques. Safety is always at the forefront.
Small groups with a similar skiing ability mean more skiing, more flexibility and more chances to find fresh tracks. Our open groups are limited to a maximum of 7 guests, with an average of just 5. This allows your guide to adapt the day to the group, the terrain and the conditions.

Together, our guides bring more than 1,000 years of experience to Piste To Powder. Regular exchange about snow, weather and mountain conditions creates an exceptional pool of local knowledge, while each guide independently plans the day and makes the guiding decisions for their guests.
A FULL DAY IN THE MOUNTAINS
A full day with your guide runs from 8:45 am to 3:45 pm. No 5 or 6-hour days, but a full 7 hours to make the most of your time in the Arlberg.
It was in the early 2000s when Graham Austick launched Piste To Powder in St. Anton, with a passion for off-piste skiing, developing guests’ technique and sharing mountain skills.
Over the past 25 years, Piste To Powder has been part of the incredible evolution of freeriding and off-piste skiing in the Arlberg. Along the way, we have shared countless powder days, adventures and memorable moments with guests from all over the world.
We were there when the new Galzig gondola first opened. We discovered powder with our guests in the trees around Langen, took nostalgic last rides on the old Trittkopf gondola and celebrated when the entire Arlberg ski area was finally connected. We shared plenty of laughter in the old Rendl gondola and, when Chalet Girl was filmed in St. Anton, some of the Piste To Powder crew even appeared as extras.
A lot has changed in the Arlberg since those early days, but the idea behind Piste To Powder has remained the same: connecting guests with exceptional mountain guides and creating unforgettable experiences in the mountains.
The independent guides we work with are fully qualified IFMGA/UIAGM mountain guides, bringing extensive experience, professional expertise and outstanding local knowledge. Many have backgrounds in ski mountaineering, guide training, product development and high-altitude expeditions.
Today, Piste To Powder has an established presence and reputation in St. Anton and throughout the Arlberg, something we are particularly proud to see reflected in the many guests who return to ski with us year after year. You can read what they say about us here.
As Graham expanded his ski adventures into Norway and established Lyngen Lodge, Florian Kraler and Paul Held, both mountain guides who had already worked with Piste To Powder for many years, jointly took the company forward as co-owners.
In 2018, Paul left Piste To Powder to focus on his own projects (his own platform Held Adventures at paul-held.com offering guiding and travel services. Find more information here.), while Flo continued as owner and director of Piste To Powder.
Today, Flo continues to develop what Piste To Powder has stood for since its early days: connecting guests with experienced mountain guides and creating outstanding mountain experiences in St. Anton, Stuben, Zürs, Lech and beyond.
Piste To Powder and Lyngen Lodge remain official partners, sharing ideas and a passion for creating exceptional ski adventures in the Alps and Norway.
