OFF PISTE CONDITIONS – THE POWDER RETURNS!
07.02.2016
This last week we have enjoyed some of the best off piste days this season. Last Sunday snow storms returned, and the Galzig ferried wet happy freeriders to the summit.
On Monday, temperatures soared again before plummeting on Thursday with more fresh snow. Our off piste level 2 and 3 groups this week enjoyed epic long runs on Rendls Northface, untracked powder gullys in Schongraben and challenging Maroikopf descents to the Langen forrest. After a great lunch in the Stuben Post – groups were rewarded with a final stunning Verwall run – accessed from a short traverse before a steep pitch and wonderful powder runs to the valley floor. With more snow forecast this week, conditions are looking good for February when St. Anton becomes a playground for off piste skiers.
