Yet, they keep getting better.
We skied slopes we hadn't done before and eventhough it was busy and we thought it would be impossible to find good untracked snow, the guides were always able to find untouched galleys with perfect snow conditions. After spending my first day on the piste with long lines, crowded slopes and spending far too much time looking at the map, I was anxious to get off-piste and away from the crowds. I decided to join an open group level 2 with Piste to Powder and was rewarded with incredible scenery, endless fresh tracks on open bowls and a great guide (Bernie) who knew the mountain well and took us to the best spots that I certainly would never have found or ventured to on my own. I'll admit that a couple of the drop ins and traverses made me go weak at the knees at first glance, but Bernie instilled confidence and was very patient. I enjoyed the small group experience and comradery of like minded skiiers. We were all exhausted at the end of the day but were on a high from the experience. Our guide Florian was simply amazing. He was so patient and dealt with two people with very different skiing styles brilliantly. The communication prior to the day was excellent and the payment system simple and efficient. I really cannot recommend Piste to Powder enough. Also highlights the importance of equipment and guiding for off piste. We came across an avalanche and two guides from piste to powder immediately organised everyone into efficient and safe search parties. Snow still wasn't deep but the guide found us fun off-piste skiing with some fresh powder. It was so much fun and we went to places I could never find on my own. So I signed up for the whole week and it was the best decision I could have made! Tomas took us over the mountains, down the valleys and through the trees in search for untouched powder and we found loads of it. He was extremely professional and I felt safe at all times with him. Ok, circumstances were more or less PERFECT, fresh pack of snow and sun, but even then the guide needs to make the right choices. We had met our guide, Matthias, the previous morning explaining what we were hoping to achieve from our days guiding. We were looking for a taste of skiing and terrain we would encounter on a planned tour of the Silvretta Route. We felt that Zoe and our guide on the day (Matthias) were very accommodating in trying to give us the experience we were looking for.
The skiing day was great, both informative and challenging and was exactly what we were looking for, with some good feedback from our guide.
Piste to powder we’re great to deal with, they were intent on making sure we got what we were looking for.
From a customer services perspective I should mention that We had previously booked a days guiding with piste to powder but had to cancel due to postponed travel plans. When we contacted Zoe about our cancellation she was very understanding and refunded our deposit without hesitation.

We have enjoyed a perfect off-piste day with perfect powder snow conditions. All thanks to a great guiding that took us to the right spot at the right moment. So have enjoyed untouched slopes all throughout the day in beautiful slopes being, alone!! Which the greatest luxury you can get nowadays: feeling you are the only one in the mountain.
Not an easy task that Florian has magnificently achieved.

Emi made the day perfectly fit for us and we had a fabulous time. We were able to see and experience quite a bit of the backcountry area in one day.
Emi is knowledgeable, patient, funny, gives a lot of tips and you can learn a lot for riding, as well as about respectful behavior in the backcountry.

Safety equipment (shovels, probes and transponders) are provided at no additional charge but you may need to bring your own backpack.
The level one courses taken two/three years ago included tuition and exercises to build technique and confidence before going off piste.
The five day, level two "course" took this year had little tuition and plenty of deep snow experience. In spite of limited snow our guide consistently found untracked slopes even if some of the drop offs and traverses were not for the faint hearted.
